From the winner of the James D. Phelan Literary Award, comes What’s French for WTF?, a hilarious romp through the lives of four twenty-somethings in Paris.
In novella one of this sitcom series, Fern must call on her intervention skills to persuade her guy-crazy roommate Kimi to lay off bad men. But what is really going on behind closed doors? Is Kimi using her room to turn tricks?
Love, hunger, and financial meltdown await Fern and her friends in the City of Light, where it’s harder to raise cash than it is to raise heck. Will Fern’s loyalty and romantic dreams survive the riot girls, a much-sought-after chamber pot, and the incident of the flying falsie?
If you like your comedy seasoned with romance, mystery, and the occasional groan-worthy pun, “chick out” this new release.
The idea of a sitcom style series of novella’s intrigued me and with a title that I absolutely loved, I just knew I had to buy this and see what Gwen Ellery had written.
The series is set to follow four characters. You have Fern the friendly, over thinking, generous one.
Kimi, the man loving sex addict, Theo the handsome artist and Brooke, Fern’s sensible half sister.
In What’s French for WTF? Fern finds her bank accounts cleared out, which brings in panic since Fern practically finances them all.
Can the gang sort their finances before the landlord evicts them?
This was a funny read that kept me entertained on a rainy afternoon, it has likeable characters and most people will relate to Fern and her over active imagination.
Brooke is the character that is most In tune to them all, she sees through their lies and gets to the source of the problem.
I’m intrigued for where the series will take us.
