Thank you to Lauren at Quercus for sending me a copy to review.
If you are going to judge a book by it’s cover, ‘Blue’ is a a great one to start with.
For this gorgeous cover promises a holiday read that will brighten your day and leave you basking in the sunshine.
Thankfully everything the cover promises the story delivers, for Lisa Glass has written a story that is pure escapism.
The story follows sixteen year old Iris who loves surfing.
Whilst participating in a yoga class, Iris meets talented Zeke, someone who sees her promise on the waves.
With the highs and lows of the tide, the duo experience a summer like never before.
The story keeps a great pace whilst sharing in the blossoming romance of Iris and Zeke,
But it’s not all romance as the story throws several twists out for the reader.
I absolutely loved Iris and Zeke, they are wonderful together and I instantly opened my heart to them.
Daniel on the other hand, I really disliked!
Whilst I found this book heart warming, it did deal with some hard issues and I think Lisa Glass should be praised for the way in which she deals with such issues.
This is a wonderful read that falls within the YA genre, but honestly if you love beach reads that will have you mentally riding the waves, this is the book for you!
