Seven celebrities are about to embark on their biggest challenge yet. The challenge of survival!
The first part of the story introduces us to the seven celebrities, we discover how they became famous and discover elements of their past and present.
The second part of the book, is when the games begin. Who will survive?
Despite having several Victoria Fox books on my bookshelves, I’ve only ever sampled the delights of Fox’ words through a festive novella, a fact which I am now kicking myself for.
Victoria Fox has the ability to create a world that’s truly captivating, scandalous and saucy.
Within this story is a wonderful mix of characters, where to start;
In a world full of celebrities there are always Diva’s and you will find Tawny no exception, even when the story delves into her past I still found her hard to get on with although she definitely added several sparks to the story.
Her ability to see herself as the most beautiful woman on the earth left me dumbfounded, there is no denying that when she meets men, they are lusting after her but sadly her substance is lacking.
Jacob was someone who was instantly attracted to Tawny, he longed for her, lusted for her but then when they found themselves stranded on the island he found himself faced with the real Tawny and that’s when we see a different side to both characters.
One character who comes across as truly genuine is Angela, she always looks for the good in people and the love she has for Noah (a man that she can’t publicly be with) is incredible. I really believe they are destined for each other. I love Angela and the strength that she conveys.
What I love about this book is that at one time or another, you find yourself empathising with all the characters, it could be their past, present or even the circumstances you find them in but something in them is real and that tugs on the heartstrings,
From Voldan to Kevin, you can’t help feel for them even if it’s just for a page, but at that moment you can see their life so clearly and feel their pain!
I loved every page, every word of this story.
The descriptiveness of every scenario makes this an incredible bonkbuster that will leave you clamouring for more!
