The Love of a Good Book takes part in the Greatest Gift!

I am honoured and delighted to be part of Quercus’ Christmas campaign!

You can find out more about the campaign on the Quercus website here. I have been asked to write a short post about why I think books are the #GreatestGift.

When you give a book as a present, you are giving so much more than the beautifully packaged pages that you hold within your hands.

For within that cover you are gifting someone’s work, their words, their creativity and their passion.

You are giving them the gift of knowledge, the chance for someone’s imagination to travel the world or fight mythical creatures, you are allowing people to discover history or indulge in the life of their favourite celeb.

A book can enlighten emotions and speak to the soul, a book can be anything from a warm heart to a life lesson.

So remember when you give a book this Christmas, you are giving the person so much more than words on pages, you are giving them a gift that will stay with them…..
