As a coeliac I have found it hard to locate things to snack on, yes there is fruit but lets be honest who wants to eat fruit day in day out and as much as I LOVE chocolate I think the guilt would be too much if I ate it every day (admittedly it would be enjoyable at the time)

Which brings me to this post, I have recently discovered a snack that tastes  like a treat, looks like a treat but has the calorie content of a healthy snack!

What the packaging says:

Our Simple Ingredients: Gluten-Free Oats (21%), Rice Syrup, Soya Protein Crunchies (Soya Protein, Tapioca Starch, Salt) (14%), Dark Chocolate Flavour Coating (Sugar, Palm Oil*, Cocoa Powder, Emulsifier: Sunflower Lecithin) (13%), Vegetable Oils (Palm*, Sunflower, Coconut, Rapeseed), Coconut Chips (8%) Soya Flour, Raw Cane Sugar, Salt & Natural Flavourings.

This is the first product I’ve tried in the Trek range but it definitely won’t be the last, for not only is the Trek Cocoa Coconut flapjack absolutely divine and completely gluten free, it is also slow releasing which makes it the ideal snack to stop me from running for the chocolate.

This healthy equivalent to a bounty bar is packed full of protein and for the 50g bar it comes in at 234 kcals.

I purchased a box from the supermarket which contained 4x40g bars at 187 kcals per bar.
